Major Blow For Chennai Super Kings Before the Start Of IPL 2023

Before the start of the Indian Premier League 2023, bad news has come for CSK. The team’s star pacer Kyle Jamieson is out of the IPL. Chennai Super Kings bought Jamieson in the auction for Rs 1 crore, which was his base price.

New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson may be away from cricket for at least three to four months after undergoing back surgery this week. Jamieson suffered a back injury in June last year. He was about to return to the field from the first Test match against England, but his injury resurfaced in the warm-up match. In such a situation, Jamieson was ruled out of the entire series.

New Zealand team head coach Gary Stead said this is a challenging time for Kyle and a big loss for us. We wish him well. We will know in three to four months what happens next.

Chennai Super Kings has been placed in Group B in IPL 2023, along with RCB, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings. CSK has won the IPL title 4 times under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It could be the last season for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The team would like to bid farewell to its captain with a win.

The last season was very bad for the team, where it was at number nine in the point table after the league round. Chennai won its last IPL title in 2021.
