World Record For Harmanpreet Kaur, Surpasses Rohit Sharma To Achieve This Huge Milestone

The captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Harmanpreet Kaur achieved a rare feat on Monday by surpassing Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian men’s cricket team. In the T20 World Cup encounter between India and Ireland Women at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha, Harmanpreet made this unique world record.

During the toss against Ireland when Harmanpreet came to the ground, she became the first player in the world, male or female, to appear in 150 T20I.

Suzie Bates of New Zealand with 143 matches is the second-best player in women’s cricket in this format to play more matches. Smriti Mandhana comes third with 155 matches in the shortest format of the game.

Rohit tops all male cricketers with 148 appearances for India since making his debut in the game in 2007. During the toss when she got the reminder of this milestone, Harmanpreet Kaur said, “It means a lot, I got an emotional message from my teammates. Thanks to the BCCI and ICC, we can play so many games.”
