Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers announced the replacement of the injured Will Jacks for the upcoming IPL 2023. New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell will replace him in the IPL 2023. His performance in the sub-continent pitches was great previously this year. Bracewell participated in the IPL auction, and his base price was Rs 1 crore. However, then he could not find any buyer. Michael Bracewell scored a century against India last January.

England’s explosive batsman Will Jacks has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Jacks, who made a bang in the South Africa T20 League, was included in the team by RCB after spending 3.20 crores in the auction.

According to the report, the injury suffered by Will Jacks on the tour of Bangladesh has proved to be serious. Due to this, he had to withdraw his name from IPL. Jacks was included in the team by RCB as a cover for Glenn Maxwell. He suffered a muscle injury while fielding in the second ODI against Bangladesh. He has been forced to pull out of the IPL after undergoing scans and consultation with a specialist earlier this week.

IPL will start on 31 March, but many players have come under the grip of injuries. Due to this, some franchisees have got a big blow. It will be interesting to see how RCB will perform in the upcoming season of the IPL. Faf du Plessis’s RCB will play their first match against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on 2 April.
