“Romario Shepherd reminds me of…”Ambati Rayadu’s massive praise for Carabian all rounder

Former IPL champion Ambati Rayadu went all praise for Mumbai’s new hero, bat Romario Shepherd, and linked him to the biggest match winner of Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard.

Romario Shepherd turned on beast mode as the Carabian star went all guns blazing against Anrich Nortje as he scored 32 in the final over. Romario Shepherd scored 39 out of just 10 deliveries.

Rayudu said that Romario’s innings reminded him of Kieron Pollard, who used to play such innings for the Mumbai Indians in crucial stages of the game.

In his interaction with Star Sports, Rayadu said, “”Yeah, I think so. Because definitely MI misses Pollard a lot. I think Romario Shepherd is filling in his shoes with the way he has been hitting the ball. And, you know, it reminds me of Pollard all those years ago when the match was done. He used to really come out there and win the game for you. Romario is doing the same thing. ”

Speaking about his innings, Romario Shepherd said, “Everyone wants to bat a bit, and before they start hitting, get used to the condition a bit. But whenever you’re in the 17th over, you just go with a clear mind because there is no holding back.”

Shepherd also spoke about a single mindset, which brings success. Shepherd said, “Whenever you’re in that kind of role, you’re even more dangerous, having to just hit the ball because when you’see-ball hit-ball’, it’s a more clear mindset than having to be tentative and looking for ones and twos.”
