Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Ajit Agarkar Hold Meeting, Future Of Hardik Pandya For T20 World Cup Discussed

According to the latest report, during IPL 2024, Rohit Sharma is said to have met with Team India head coach Rahul Dravid and chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Mumbai. They discussed the squad selection for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the meeting took place at the BCCI headquarters last week. During the meeting, an important discussion on the skipper of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was taken.

The three individuals decided that for Pandya to have a good chance of being selected for the squad, it would be crucial for him to bowl regularly during IPL 2024.

The meeting went on for two hours, and a lot of time was spent talking about which fast-bowling all-rounders India would pick for their team in the T20 World Cup. This tournament will be hosted by the USA and Caribbean islands in June this year.

The selectors are facing a challenge as they don’t have many high-quality options to choose from. They are closely monitoring Shivam Dube who has been performing well with the bat but has only been used sparingly as an Impact Player by his team, Chennai Super Kings. The defending champions have not felt the need to utilize Dube’s right-arm medium-pace bowling because they already have many other good options available.
