Rohit Sharma and Navdeep Saini Ruled Out Of Second Test

Rohit Sharma is under the care of the BCCI Medical Team following his left thumb injury, which he sustained during the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka. In the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, vice-captain KL Rahul is leading the team, and under his captaincy, Indian team have won the first test match against Bangladesh by 188 runs.

Star opener batter Shubhman Gill performed exceptionally well in the second innings along with him veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara hit the fastest test century of his career. The Medical Team believes that the injury needs some more time to heal completely before the Indian captain can bat and field with full intensity. He will continue his rehab and will not be available for the second and final Test against Bangladesh.

Navdeep Saini is also ruled out of the second Test owing to an abdominal muscle strain. The fast bowler will now report to the NCA for further injury management. Mohd. Siraj has bowled exceptionally well in the first test match, his bowling figure is really well with red ball and hopefully he will also do well in the 2nd test match against Bangladesh.

India’s updated squad for the 2nd Test against Bangladesh: KL Rahul (C), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara (VC), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohd.
