Rishabh Pant Is Almost Out From The 2023 ODI World Cup; Who Are The Replacements?

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is likely to miss the ODI World Cup 2023. The batter is now recovering well from his injury but is not fit enough to register for the marquee event.

The batter is already out from the four-match test series against Australia and the 16th edition of Indian Premier League. At the moment, Pant is in Mumbai and doctors are making sure for his fast paced injury.

According to a report in ESPNCricinfo, the wicketkeeper is out from the team India for almost 6 months which clearly hints his omission from the 2023 ODI World Cup. Pant will now again go for a surgery his interior part of ligament will be reconstructed.

BCCI is yet to give an official confirmation about Pant’s future with team India but he will be out from the team for at least 6 months.

Pant last played for team India against Bangladesh last year in the starting of December. Selectors have picked KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan for the upcoming four-match test series against Australia.

If we talk about the replacement of Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan is the prime contender for ODI World Cup 2023 set to happen in India only.
