Indian opener batter Prithvi Shaw made his comeback in the Indian team squad after 537 days, and he picked in the three-match T20 squad against New Zealand at home.
Indian selectors picked him for the national team after his swashbuckling performance in first-class cricket. Recently he scored 379 runs in the Ranji trophy against Assam, which is the most run scored by an opener in the Ranji Trophy ever in the first innings.
Shaw made his debut in 2018 for the national team and played his last match in 2021 in the second string of the Indian side. He has only appeared in the T20I match, six ODIs, and five test matches for the national team.
In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, he was the second run-getter batter with 363 runs in the eight matches, including a century and a fifty. And last week, his performance in the Ranji Match against Assam caught the eye of the selector towards himself. After plenty of runs in the domestic circuit has been a constant debate between the fans and veteran cricketers.
After getting a place in the T20I series against New Zealand at home, here is how Shaw gave his reaction.
