Record Alert – Yuzvendra Chahal Becomes The Highest Wicket-taker In The History Of IPL, Leaves Behind Dwayne Bravo

In the 56th match of Indian Premier League 2023 played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals the star Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became the leading wicket-taker in IPL history by taking his 184th wicket in the tournament. Chahal achieved this milestone in his first over by dismissing Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana. Rana tried to hit a sweep shot that was caught by Shimron Hetmyer.

He further added,”I was with Mumbai Indians for three years [when I started] but my journey actually started in 2014. There have been a lot of ups and downs and I’ve enjoyed a lot too. I’ve learned from my downs, and what I’m today is because of my downfalls and [support from] my close ones.”

This special millstone from Chahal came in Eden Garden against KKR, back in 2013 the leg spinner made his debut against KKR only. For Mumbai Indians, he played only one match and then he moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore where he played most of his matches. For RCB, Chahal has got 139 wickets in 113 matches which is an incredible number and he is the highest wicket-taker for RCB in IPL history.
