Record Alert: Kohli Created Massive Record With Fifty Vs Delhi Capitals, Becomes First Cricketer To Do So In IPL History

In the 20th match of IPL 2023, played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the star opener of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli created history by scoring a century against Delhi Capitals. Kohli played a knock of 50 runs with the help of six fours and one six in just 34 balls and slammed his third half-century of the season.

Along with this half-century, Kohli completed 2500 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He became the first player in IPL history to score 2500 or more runs at a single venue. Kohli has scored 2539 runs in 75 matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium including three centuries and 19 half-centuries.

In terms of scoring the most runs in a single stadium in the IPL, former Bangalore batsman AB de Villiers is at the second spot. He has scored 1960 runs in 58 matches at this ground.

Apart from this, Kohli has also moved up to second place in terms of scoring the most 50+ scores in the IPL. The fifty against Delhi Capitals was the 52nd one for Virat Kohli and he has surpassed Shikhar Dhawan in this race.

Talking about the match, while batting first Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 174 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. In response, Delhi Capitals could only manage to score 151 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
