RECORD ALERT: 30 Fours And 3 Sixes… Yashasvi Jaiswal Broke 23-Year-Old Record

Yashasvi Jaiswal who is known for his powerful hitting has smashed the existing record in the ongoing Irani Trophy of the 2022-23 season. The match is currently being played between the Rest Of India and the Ranji Trophy winner of 2021-2022 Madhya Pradesh.

The left-handed batter smashed 213 runs in just 259 balls with the help of 30 fours and three sixes and demolished a 23-year-old record. Jaiswal became the youngest player to hit a double century in the Irani Cup. Jaiswal achieved this milestone at the age of 21.

Before it, the record belonged to Pravin Amre who hit the double century at the age of 22 back in 1990.

In this match, the Rest Of India’s captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and elected to bat first. ROI lost its captain Mayank at his individual score of two runs but after it, Abhimanyu Easwaran smashed a splendid hundred and scored 154 runs before being dismissed through run out.

The rest of India consists of some other star domestic players as well like Baba Aparajith, Yash Dhull, and Navdeep Saini. Talking about the Madhya Pradesh Team, it is led by Himanshu Mantri and has star players like Kumar Kartikeya and Avesh Khan.
