RCB Would Love To Break The Shackles This time: AB De Villiers Bold Anticipation Ahead Of IPL Season 16

Indian Premier League season 16 will be played in the 2023 and every franchise have submitted the list of the retained players on 15th November, and the mini-auction of IPL 2023 will be held on 23rd December. Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the finest franchises of the Indian Premier League. But they haven’t won the title in the history of the IPL.

Royal Challenger Bangalore made to the finals in the years 2009, 2011, and 2016 but was never able to lift the IPL trophy. At that point of time, RCB have stars like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle in the team but couldn’t turn the dark fortune of the RCB into light.

Virat has been the skipper of RCB for 10 years but he couldn’t end the drought of the IPL trophy, and this drought was continued under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis in the last season.

As the new season is coming of IPL, former RCB player AB de Villiers predicted that this time RCB will win the IPL title and this will break the shackle for them.

“It’s been how many seasons now? Quite a few, 14 or 15 or whatever. So, they would love to break the shackles. I think if RCB wins one then, they’ll probably win two, three, four quickly but let’s wait and see what happens, T20 cricket is a bit of a gamble sometimes, anything can happen. Especially knockout games, but hopefully RCB’s turn is around the corner,” said de Villiers.
