RCB star Yash Dayal again in legal trouble, Check out

Indian cricketer Yash Dayal is in trouble, as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowler is accused of rape. NDTV got a copy of the police report filed against Dayal at the Sanganer Police Station in Jaipur. He is accused of raping a girl for two years and blackmailing her.

Reports say Dayal promised to help her start a cricket career. He invited her to a hotel in Sitapura, where the first sexual assault happened. Since the girl was 17 then, the police are using the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in the case.

This follows a recent decision by the Allahabad High Court to stop Dayal’s arrest in a similar case. He was accused of sexually exploiting another woman. Justices Siddhartha Varma and Anil Kumar ordered the stay after Dayal challenged the police report. The court has asked for more information and has notified the woman who made the complaint.

The first police report against Dayal, who is 27 and plays for RCB in the IPL, was filed on July 6 at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad. He is accused of sexual assault under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which covers sexual relations through deceit. Dayal is accused of having sexual relations with a woman under the false promise of marriage.

Dayal’s lawyer argued that to be accused under Section 69 of BNS, it must be proven that he never intended to marry the woman. Dayal has asked the court to stop his arrest and dismiss the police report against him.

The woman said they met about five years ago, and Dayal promised to marry her. She claimed he kept delaying the proposal, and she later found out he was seeing other women. She first filed the complaint on June 21 through the chief minister’s online system.
