The Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction for the year 2024 took place on Tuesday, 19 December 2023. Held in Dubai, the auction saw all ten franchises making their selections from provided player lists and more or less they got their desired players.
RCB made some smart buys during the IPL 2024 Auction, securing the services of Caribbean bowler Alzarri Joseph for INR 11.5 crore. They invested INR 5 crore in Yash Dayal, who previously played for Gujarat Titans. In the accelerated round, RCB acquired England international Tom Curran and Lockie Ferguson for their respective base prices of 1.5 crore and 2 crore.
In the end, RCB got Swapnil Singh and Saurav Chauhan at their base price of INR 20 lakh each. With these additions, the team has achieved a well-rounded balance, combining a formidable batting lineup with a strengthened bowling attack.
