Ravindra Jadeja’s Majestic Performance Propels Him to Join Anil Kumble in Major Record

Team India came out victorious in the third test match against England by a huge margin of 434 runs to take a 2-1 lead in a five-match series.

For team India, there were two heroes of the Rajkot test: one, Yashasvi Jaiswal with the bat, and then it was team India’s Rockstar Ravindra Jadeja who stared with both bat and ball in the third test match of the series.

Team India’s set-up was a huge target for England of 557 runs to win the test match on account of a sublime knock of 214 from team India’s young opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Coming in to chase the target, the visitors surrendered on a score of 122, with Ravindra Jadeja picking up five wickets to help India win the match by a margin of 434 runs.

After the match, Ravindra Jadeja was awarded man of the match for his all-around show, as he scored a century in the first innings and picked up seven wickets across the innings.

Ravindra Jadeja equaled another milestone as he won his ninth player of the match award, equaling Anil Kumble’s record to win the most man of the match award.

Ravindra Jadeja has 10 players of the match award in his test carrier, out of which 9 have come on home soil, equaling the record of Anil Kumble, who also begged for 9 players of the match award in India.

Apart from Jadeja and Kumble, Virat Kohli has also won 10 man of the match awards in test matches and is only behind Rahul Dravid (11) and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who has won 14 man of the match awards in the longest format of the game.
