IPL 2023 Auction is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi and all the 10 franchises will look to fill their squad with a bunch of impressive players. Team like Chennai Super Kings is looking for a perfect replacement for Dwayne Bravo, while Sunrisers Hyderabad is on hunt for a captain.
The former Chennai Super Kings stalwart Suresh Raina has picked some names who could claim a good amount in the IPL auction. Raina’s surprises everyone by electing Jaydev Unadkat who has grabbed 19 wickets in this domestic season. His second pick was N Jagadeesan who smashed 5 consecutive centuries including a brilliant 277 runs innings against Arunachal Pradesh.
Raina is one of the IPL experts for JIO Cinema and while interacting there he said,”N Jagadeesan has a very good cricketing brain, and he bats so deep, is a very smart, calculative batsman. He has done really well for Tamil Nadu, watch out for him.”
Raina also talked about the Irish pacer Joshua Little. The former CSK batter feels that Little could be one of the wild cards for the team. He picked 11 wickets in 7 games in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2023.
He further stated,”Sam Curran has done really well for England as well as for Chennai Super Kings and there is Ben Stokes who has led England well. So having a top all-rounder in your team can change the movement of the game. Then there is Jaydev Unadkat who just won the Vijay Hazare Trophy and has a lot of experience in the IPL. Watch out for Joshua Little from Ireland. He has done really well in the World Cup just now, and I just played with him,” he added.
