“People should stop comparing Babar Azam to Virat Kohli. The likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are….” Danish Kaneria Criticised Babar Azam

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam has shown a masterclass performance recently and scripted a new record across all the formats, after which fans and experts started comparing him with star Indian batter Virat Kohli.

However, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria asked fans and experts not to make the comparison as he criticized Babar for his batting and captaincy skill in the ongoing Test series against England.

Danish Kaneria stated that no player in the Pakistani batting lineup currently should be compared with India’s star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He also added Pakistani team is zero in their home test series against England.

“People should stop comparing Babar Azam to Virat Kohli. The likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are very big players. Pakistan has nobody in their team who can be compared to them. If you make them talk, they will be a king. When you ask them to produce results, they’ll be zero,” Kaneria said on his YouTube Channel.

Kaneria further slammed Babar’s leadership skills and rated it “zero.” Even he added that he hasn’t the capability to lead the green army in the longest format of cricket, and the whole Pakistani team should learn from England’s captain Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum.

“Babar Azam is a big zero as captain. He doesn’t deserve to lead the team. He is not capable of leading the team, especially when it comes to Test cricket. He had a good chance of learning captaincy by looking at Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum during the series. Or, he could have kept his ego aside and asked Sarfaraz Ahmed how to captain,” he added.

Pakistani team lost three-match home test series against England by 3-0, and this is the first time in the history of test cricket that the Pakistani team has lost all test matches of the home series.
