PCB Gives Open Threat To BCCI, Says- “If India Doesn’t Come To Pakistan For Asia Cup 2023….”

The word war between the officials of the Indian Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board is not new. Recently a statement by the secretary of BCCI Jay Shah has raised controversy between these two cricket boards.

The collision started when the BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated that team India will not fly to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 and the tournament should be held at a ‘Neutral Venue’. Jay Shah is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council and the decision was taken during the Annual General Meeting organized on Tuesday (19th October). In the meeting, Jay Shah quoted, “We have decided to play at a neutral venue.” After this statement by Jay Shah, a source close to the Pakistan Cricket Board reported that the officials of PCB have decided to pull out of the 2023 ODI world cup if India is not coming to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. A senior PCB official told PTI, “The PCB is now prepared to take hard decisions and play hardball because it is also aware that the ICC and ACC events will have to face commercial liabilities and losses if Pakistan does not play India in these multi-team events.”

This hard-hitting response came as teams have already started traveling to Pakistan for International Cricket. Top nations like England, West Indies, and Australia have been to Pakistan for the test and white ball series.
