PCB Chairman Calls for Full Support to T20 World Cup Team despite team’s flop show in England

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Mohsin Naqvi has said that the team has a plan for the upcoming T-20 World Cup and has requested the fans to show faith and confidence in the team in spite of their terrible show with both bat and ball against England. With less than 48 hours left for the start of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan recently toured England and suffered a whitewash by 2-0 in the four-match series.

“Support the team and assure them that we [the fans] are with you [the team] whether you win or lose. I just want to request one thing that we really need for the next four weeks. Let us all support our players,” the PCB chairman told the media in London, according to Geo News.

The first and third T20 were washed out due to rain, while the rest of the two matches were won by England.

Apart from this, Pakistan have made a few changes in their set-up from the team that traveled for the Ireland series. Apart from this, the team has picked up a pace-heavy squad heading into the World Cup.

With the continuous chopping and changing in the team, Naqvi was asked about Pakistan’s combination for the World Cup, to which he replied that the team has its own set of plans and will give their best on the field.

Pakistan Squad for T20 World Cup: Babar Azam (c), Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usman Khan.
