Pakistan Will Not Come To India For 2023 ODI World Cup, Books Another Venue

The big news is coming regarding the future of the Pakistan Cricket Team for the ODI World Cup in India. According to the latest report, it is under discussion that Pakistan may have to play their 2023 ODI World Cup matches in Bangladesh due to political tensions with India.

This decision came just after a week when India claimed their venue for the Asia Cup in England or UAE rather than Pakistan who is the host of this tournament.

In the recent ICC meetings held in Dubai, there was a discussion about the possibility of holding Pakistan’s ODI World Cup matches and India’s Asia Cup matches in a neutral location. However, there has been no official confirmation about any of such issues. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) raised concerns during the meeting that if India does not tour Pakistan this year then it would eventually create a problem as the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan.

The upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup is set to take place in 10 different venues across India starting from October 5th. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has stated that their involvement in the tournament will be dependent on India’s decision regarding the Asia Cup.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) previously declared that India would not be traveling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup tournament. As a result, PCB hinted that they may boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup if the BCCI will not send their team to Asia Cup.
