Bangladesh and Pakistan concluded their three match T20I series on July 24 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Pakistan batted first after losing the toss and had a decent start. Openers Sahibzada Farhan scored 63 and Saim Ayub 21. Mohammad Haris 5 and Hasan Nawaz 33 off 17 balls. Pakistan finished the first innings with 178/7.
They then bowled just as well. Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh for 104 and won the third T20I by 74 runs. This was Pakistan’s 150th T20I win, they are the second team to achieve this feat after India who have 164 T20I wins. Salman Mirza and Mohammad Nawaz won the match for Pakistan in Mirpur.
Pakistan bowled well in the second innings. Bangladesh’s innings started poorly with Tanzid Hasan getting out for a duck. Mohammad Naim scored 10. Litton Das 8 and Mehidy Hasan Miraz 10 off 8 balls. Mohammad Saifuddin was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 35*. Salman Mirza was the top wicket taker in the second innings with 3 wickets. Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf 2 wickets each and Ahmed Daniyal, Salman Agha and Hussain Talat 1 wicket each. Even though Pakistan lost the series they will feel good about this win.
