PAK vs ENG, 1st T20I: Mohammad Rizwan Breaks 4-Years Old World Record Of Virat Kohli

The 1st T20I of the 7-match T20I series between Pakistan and England was played at Karachi Stadium where the visitors beat Pakistan by 6 wickets. However, in this match Pakistan’s dazzling wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan made a unique world record and at the same time surpassed the star Indian batter Virat Kohli.

Rizwan blasted against England and scored 68 runs off 46 balls with the help of 6 fours and two sixes. During this inning, Rizwan became the fastest batter to complete 2000 runs in International T20 Cricket. Now, the Pak wicket-keeper has a tie with his compatriot Babar Azam who has achieved this feat in the same number of innings. Both Babar and Rizwan hammered this feat in their 52nd appearance.

During this milestone, Babar surpassed former Indian captain Virat Kohli who crossed his 2000 T20I runs mark in 56 innings. Kohli achieved this feat against England way back in 2018.

Talking about the match, Pakistan after losing the toss posted a target of 158 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 Overs. For Pakistan, Rizwan scored the highest 68 runs. Chasing the target of 159 runs, Alex Hales on his return to International cricket cracked a solid inning of 53 runs in just 40 balls. Along with hales, Harry Brooks scored 42 runs to take his team to victory.
