Nothing Going Good For Maxwell Another Injury In The Comeback Match, Big Question On His IPL Availability

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s leg was broken last year due to falling at a friend’s birthday party, and he has been away from international cricket since November 2022.

After recovering from that injury, Maxwell returned to the field through the Sheffield Shield tournament. But this comeback was also not good for him. Glenn Maxwell injured his wrist not once but twice while fielding in the slips during a Sheffield Shield match. Because of this, he had to go out of the ground. Fortunately, his wrist was not broken, and he also came out to bat in the second innings.

That match was being played between Victoria and South Australia in Sheffield Shield. Glenn Maxwell has played from Victoria. During the match, Maxwell was fielding in the slips. Then a ball came towards him with the edge of the bat, and Maxwell’s wrist got hurt while catching it. After this, Maxwell started struggling in the field due to pain and left the ground.

After this, Glenn Maxwell also came out for batting in the second innings. But his game ended in just 2 balls. Maxwell has come to play in the Sheffield Shield tournament after 2019. A big inning was expected from him. But, in the first innings for Victoria, he became LBW after scoring only 5 runs.

The medical staff of Victoria and Cricket Australia then tested him. The good thing is that his wrist bone was not broken.
