After Skipper, These Star Players Return To Australia In Mid Series

Another bad news for the Australian team in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. After the Delhi Test, first captain Pat Cummins returned home due to family reasons. Now their star opener batter David Warner is also ruled out of the remaining matches of the series due to a hairline fracture in his elbow.

“David Warner has been ruled out of the Qantas test tour of India and will return home,” CA said in a statement issued this afternoon.

In the Delhi test match, Warner was injured on the short ball of Md. Siraj also suffered many blows from the Indian pace attack. Due to that, he didn’t come to bat in the second innings, and Matt Renshaw replaced him in the second innings as a concussion substitute.

“After further assessment, he will require a period of rehabilitation which will preclude any further involvement in the remainder of the Test series. It is currently anticipated that he will return to India for the three One-Day Internationals which follow the Test Series,” CA said.

Apart from him, now 4-5 other players of the Australian team are also out of the series. The Australian team has already lost hope of winning the series and has completely surrendered.

Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the series due to poor fitness. Going back to Australia, he will work on his recovery. Captain Pat Cummins has returned to Australia, but it is believed that he may return before the Indore Test.

Australian team coach Andrew McDonald also said we made a mistake in reading India, and our team has been a complete flop. Regarding the Indore Test, the coach of the Kangaroo team had said that we have to clear the strategy ahead in the third test match.

Third Test – March 1 to 5, Indore
Fourth Test – March 9 to 13, Ahmedabad
