Not Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik Names The Best Person Of RCB Franchise

The season of IPL 2024 is not going well for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Faf du Plessis’s captained franchise is placed at number nine in the points table of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the finisher and the wicket-keeper batter of the RCB Dinesh Karthik has given special words of praise for the RCB head coach and director of cricket. This is also the edition for Karthik in the IPL and he will say bye to the tournament after IPL 2024.

Karthik joined the South Indian team during the 2022 Mega auctions after playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders, who made it to the 2021 IPL final but lost to the Chennai Super Kings. This is Karthik’s second time playing for this franchise.

Dinesh Karthik first played for the Bangalore-based team in the 2015 season. He was bought for a staggering price of 10.5 crores after being released by Delhi Capitals following the 2014 season.

DK recently appeared on the Sky Sports Cricket Podcast with Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain. During the podcast, he discussed Andy Flower’s coaching methods.

Karthik thanked Flower for being clear when talking to the players and said that Flower is one of the best people to work with in cricket.

“I reckon he (Flower) has been one of the best that I’ve worked with, because of the clarity he gives. It’s a great case in point, as the support staff can only do that much. It is a captain-driven game, it is a fact. It is not football or basketball, where the manager has such a big role to play on the field of play.” – Dinesh Karthik said during a podcast with Sky Sports.
