Not Rohit, Not Dhoni, Senior Pakistan Pacer Named This Stalwart Player As His Favorite Indian Batter

Cricket has always been a sport that transcends boundaries and fosters a sense of mutual respect among players. This camaraderie extends beyond the intense India-Pakistan rivalry, exemplified by the admiration shared between former Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir.

In a recent video, Amir stated that Kohli and Pakistan’s Babar Azam are among his top three favorite batters. Additionally, he acknowledged the potential of Shubman Gill, praising his current form and suggesting that Gill could become the next big thing in Indian cricket. Amir’s appreciation for these talented players highlights the admiration shared among cricketers, irrespective of national rivalries.

“Virat Kohli, Babar is my favourite apart from T20s. He is my favourite in Tests and ODIs. Finally, Shubman Gill, as I feel he will be the next big thing for India in future, if he maintains his current form,” Amir was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan on his YouTube channel.

While discussing bowlers, Amir identified New Zealand’s Trent Boult as his top choice. He lauded Boult’s skills and considered him a complete bowler capable of excelling in all formats. He also mentioned Pakistan’s Naseem Shah as another promising talent with the attributes required to succeed across formats. Finally, Amir named Australia’s Mitchell Starc his third pick, recognizing Starc’s prowess as a fast bowler.

“Trent Boult, he is number one for me, then Naseem Shah. These are bowlers, who I feel are complete bowlers and can play all formats. And third would be Mitchell Starc,” he added.
