Former Indian cricketer and now the most celebrated cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has come with a strong belief for a team that can win the T20 World Cup 2022. Surprisingly, the pick of Aakash is not Team but the defending champion Australia.
Aakash feels that the Aussies will get the benefit of playing on their home soil and they have been brilliant over the years, especially in the ICC tournaments.
The defending champion did not have a great series against England and lost every single game against them. But, a team like Australia will always have a chance to improve themselves as they are known for their strong comeback.
Speaking on his youtube channel, the former KKR opener said,”Australia has always played T20 cricket in a different way. They don’t play their full-strength side often because they probably give The Ashes more importance. But when they came together in the World Cup last year, they won it. Finch didn’t score enough runs, but he won the all-important tosses. Toss is the boss. They have the ‘favorites’ tag now.”
Aakash Chopra claims that Group A for the T20 World Cup 2022 will be a tough one with the teams such as Australia, England, New Zealand, And Afghanistan.

Aakash Chopra said,”You have last year’s finalists in Australia and New Zealand and also the overwhelming favorites in this format in England. Afghanistan may not give that much competition in those conditions. But you can still call it a ‘Group of Death’.”
