Not Hardik Padya Or Ben Stokes, Sourav Ganguly Picks Him As The Best All-rounder Of World Cricket

Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has praised India’s spin trio- Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav. Ganguly specifically lauded Ravichandran Ashwin as an “all-time great,” and felt glad for his remarkable accomplishment of securing 500 Test wickets.

In the ongoing five-match Test series against England, hosted by India, the home team faced an initial setback with a defeat in the first match held in Hyderabad. However, the team staged a strong comeback, securing victories in three consecutive matches. This triumphant performance has allowed India to establish an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series.

India’s series win against England was significantly influenced by the stellar performances of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav. Ashwin played a crucial role by claiming 17 wickets in four matches at an impressive average of 30.41. The spinner from Tamil Nadu reached a historic milestone during the third Test in Rajkot, achieving his 500th wicket.

”All-time great, all-time great offspring. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke,” Ganguly told RevSportz.

The former Indian captain also praised Ravindra Jadeja for his valuable contribution to India’s victory with his bat and ball. Ganguly went on to praise Jadeja as the premier all-rounder at the moment, emphasizing his effectiveness in both the batting and bowling aspects of the game.

“Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions,” said Ganguly.
