“Indian players are…”Sourav Ganguly’s Candid Thoughts on Rishabh Pant’s Return for Delhi Capitals

The 17th season of the IPL is set to start in less than a month’s time, where all 10 teams are set to compete against one another for the ultimate title.

However, ahead of the upcoming IPL season, Delhi Capitals director of cricket expressed his feelings about the comeback of Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant.

Pant missed the previous season of the IPL due to a car accident but is all set to make a comeback in the upcoming IPL season, which will be a huge boost for the Delhi Capitals for the upcoming IPL season.

Speaking on Rishabh Pant, Ganguly said, “It’s a huge boost for the Delhi Capitals because Indian players are gold in the IPL. Obviously, he has not played much cricket, and I hope he gets back to rhythm very quickly. It’s been a while since he was away from competitive cricket—almost 17–18 months. He has worked very hard to make a comeback. He is confident and wants to play for the Delhi Capitals and India. I am extremely happy he is back and hope he gets through the season.”.

The former Indian skipper also said that Rishabh is confident of playing the full season of the IPL, which will be a huge boost for both Delhi Capitals and Team India.

Pant has played for DC since 2016 and scored 2,838 runs in 98 matches at an average of 34.61 and a strike rate of over 147, with 15 half-centurys and 1 century.

The upcoming IPL season is going to start on March 22, with the Chennai Super Kings taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
