MCG will be packed with the crowd in the mega clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Spectators have always witnessed high voltage encounters between these two teams, and this World Cup clash between the arch-rivals should not be different from that. Tickets for the upcoming match between the subcontinent teams in the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) have been sold out within few minutes of going on sale, and still, one month left for this mega event.
International Cricket Council (ICC) said, “Tickets for additional standing rooms were also snapped up within minutes of going on sale.” ICC also added, “An official re-sale platform will be launched closer to the event, where fans can exchange tickets at face value”.
Tickets for South Africa’s match against Bangladesh and India vs. runners-up of Group A have also been sold out. Some additional tickets may be made available before some week of the mega event. Only a minimal number of tickets remain for Australia’s opening Super 12 fixture against Blackcaps at the SCG on 22nd October. “Some tickets have been left of a double-header featuring Pakistan v Group A runner-up and India v South Africa at Perth Stadium on 30th October, and Pakistan v South Africa at the SCG on 3 November,” the ICC added.
In this ICC T20 World Cup 2022, tickets have been purchased by fans of 82 different countries to watch the dazzling performance of the world’s best players across 16 different countries. ICC anticipated the return of the entire stadium crowd at ICC events for the first time since the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.
