Team India will face Australia for the four-match test series in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar trophy. This series will also decide the fate of both teams in the ICC Test Championship.
Australia is at the top in the points table of the ICC Test Championship, while India is in the second spot. Both teams will look to win the major matches of the series to go ahead to the final of the test championship.
Meanwhile, former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has talked about an Indian player who could be the X-factor for the team. Gambhir feels that Indian pitches will provide much spin support to their bowlers and the chinaman Kuldeep Yadav could be the game changer for team India in the upcoming test series.
While having a conversation with star sports, Gambhir said, “He was always there. It’s just about his confidence. Whatever we have seen of Rohit Sharma, he can give that confidence to young bowlers. Now it’s time that they should persist with Kuldeep Yadav. His bowing a lot in international cricket will be crucial in the Australia Test series. If you keep him in the sheds and don’t make him play the one-day format and you suddenly bring him for the Test series, there’s going to be less bowling under his belt.”
Gambhir further explained that Kuldeep Yadav is going to shine more than Axar Patel and R Ashwin. He said that until the Australian series starts, Kuldeep Yadav should play every ODI game for team India.
