Nicholas Pooran Showed His Injury After Being Hit By Arshdeep Singh

West Indies cricket star Nicholas Pooran has revealed the extent of the injuries he endured while delivering a stellar performance during the fifth and final T20I against Team India on Sunday, August 13. Despite facing physical challenges, Pooran showcased his determination by contributing significantly to West Indies’ eight-wicket victory, securing a series win of 3-2 against India.

Pooran, known for his batting prowess, played a crucial role in the match by scoring an impressive 47 runs. His partnership with opener Brandon King paved the way for West Indies’ successful chase, with King scoring an unbeaten 85 runs. Despite Arshdeep Singh’s dismissal of Kyle Mayers in the second over, Pooran stepped up early in the innings, partnering with King to establish a formidable 107-run stand for the second wicket.

However, Pooran’s knock was not without its challenges. After the match, the former West Indies captain took to social media to reveal the injuries he sustained during the game. He shared that he suffered bruises from an Arshdeep Singh delivery that hit him in the abdomen. Additionally, he endured a painful blow to his left forearm when struck by a shot from Brandon King at the non-striker’s end.

In a post on his social media account, Nicholas Pooran humorously captioned the images of his injuries with, “The after-effects 😂 thank you, Brandon King and Arshdeep.” Despite the physical setbacks, Pooran’s commitment to the game and his team’s success remained unwavering.

Throughout the T20I series against India, Nicholas Pooran emerged as the highest run-scorer and was deservedly awarded the Man of the Series.

Throughout five games, he accumulated 176 runs with an impressive average of 35 and a strike rate of 142. Pooran’s remarkable form has been consistent, as he also made a mark in Major League Cricket, where he scored an unbeaten century for MI New York in the final, leading his team to victory against Texas Super Kings.
