New Zealand Announced Former Pakistani Cricketer As Their Assistance Coach

A series of 5 T20 and 5 ODIs will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand from 14th April. The Kiwi team has taken a big decision before the series to catch and defeat Pakistan’s weaknesses.

According to media reports, New Zealand has decided to add former Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq to the team as a consultant for this series.

New Zealand toured Pakistan last December-January. At that time, 2 Test matches and 3 ODIs were played between the two teams. The Test series was a drawn, while the Kiwis won the ODI series by 2-1. Then the head coach of Pakistan was Saqlain Mushtaq.

The picture completely changed when New Zealand is about to reach Pakistan to complete its unfinished tour. Saqlain Mushtaq will make a strategy to defeat Pakistan, this time with the Kiwis.

According to media reports, Saqlain Mushtaq has accepted the New Zealand Cricket Board’s offer. He is well aware of the merits and demerits of Pakistan. Saqlain, who has worked with the Pakistan team for a long time, can create problems for Babar Azam’s team in the upcoming series.

The former Pakistani spinner confirmed the news: “I am currently in the United States and will join the NZ squad upon my return on 12th April. It is a short-term commitment with the NZ squad, which is an honour.”
