One of the major players in Pakistan’s squad for the forthcoming three-match home Test series against England, Naseem Shah, started a laughing riot during the press conference prior to the first Test on December 1 at Rawalpindi.

For the majority of the press conference, Naseem Shah spoke to the media in Urdu. However, one English journalist later inquired about his thoughts on England’s 40-year-old veteran pacer James Anderson. The young man was also questioned by the reporter about Anderson’s significant achievements to international cricket over the last 20 years.

Naseem Shah said, “I think it’s a very big achievement because I’m a fast bowler and I know how hard fast bowling is. He is a legend, we learn a lot of things from him and whenever we meet we discuss something. So, that’s a big thing for him. He is still playing at 40. He is still playing and fit, so you can imagine how hard he is working.”

But when the interviewer pressed him to elaborate on James Anderson’s abilities, he replied as follows: “Brother, I have just 30 percent English. My English is finished now, okay.”

Everyone in the room started laughing as soon as the child responded.

Pakistan would be seeking to win this home series’ red-ball portion. They lost to the Moeen Ali-led team in the T20I series 3-4 in September, and the Three Lions defeated them in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground earlier this month.
Naseem will be anticipated to play a significant role in the fast bowling department in Shaheen Afridi’s absence.
