Mumbai Indians Should Go Hard Behind These 2 Stars In IPL Auction 2023, Says Sanjay Manjrekar

After having an average performance in IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians released their 13 players before the mini-auction of IPL 2023. The Auction will happen on December 23 and the Rohit-led franchise will look for all those players who would have the ability to change the fortune of Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season.

Last year Mumbai Indians had only 4 wins and lost 10 matches. Amidst all talks, former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar has come out with two names who can change the fortune of Mumbai Indians and the franchise should go behind them on December 23 in Kochi.

According to the commentator, Mumbai Indians should target the Australian spin wizard Adam Zampa or English leggie, Adil Rashid, as they have some impressive performances in T20s.

Talking to a star sports show, Manjrekar said,” Every IPL team needs somebody like Rashid Khan. They are looking for Rashid Khan or Sunil Narine. So that’s where perhaps somebody like a Zampa or an Adil Rashid could come into the equation to find a leg-spinner because all the other aspects seem okay despite their performances last season.”

Sanjay Manjrekar said that Mumbai Indians should have retained Rahul Chahar who was a kind of blessing to them. He stated, “So yes, a wrist spinner. They have let go of M Ashwin. They have had a history of leg spinners. There was Markande with them. Rahul Chahar – they should never have let him go, he has gone, so maybe an overseas spinner. Tabraiz Shamsi is another wrist-spinner who Mumbai Indians might be interested in.”
