Mumbai Indians Get Huge Setback, Jason Behrendorff Ruled Out Of IPL 2024; Replacement Announced

Just days before the start of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians have been dealt with an injury blow. The franchise revealed that Australian fast bowler Jason Behrendorff will not be able to participate in the 2024 tournament.

Mumbai Indians have announced their replacement for Behrendorff, signing England’s 28-year-old bowler, Luke Wood, on Monday, March 18th.

Who is Luke Wood?

Luke Wood a fast bowler hailing from England, has left a substantial mark in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, demonstrating his remarkable skills and playing a pivotal role in his team’s successes. His proficiency in swinging the ball back into right-handed batsmen proved to be equally effective in the subcontinental setting, establishing him as a crucial asset for his PSL squad.

In IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians will face Gujarat Titans in their first match on March 24. This year Mumbai Indians will see some big changes where Hardik Pandya will be seen captaining the side and Rohit Sharma who led MI for the five IPL trophies will play as regular batter.
