Mumbai Indians Franchise In CSA T20 League Announces The Coaching Staff, Former Australian And South African Legends To Take In

South Africa is all set to start their inaugural T20 League and for this some prime IPL franchisees have bought their team.

Mumbai Indians is one of those groups whose team will play in CSA T20 League. The team purchased by the Mumbai Indians franchise is Capetown, which will be known as MI Cape Town.

Now franchisees have announced the coaching staff for the same. The players who have assigned coaching duties are none other than former Australian opener Simon Katich while former South African batter Hashim Amla will join the team as batting head coach.

Apart from them former New Zealand batsman James Pamment has joined the franchise as fielding coach and Robin Peterson has been appointed as the General Manager Of The Team.

Akash. M. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm and owners of MI Cape Town, said, “I’m happy to welcome Simon and Hashim on MI Cape Town coaching team. Together with James and Robin, we’ll be a team that will grow the MI brand of cricket in South Africa and bring to this cricket loving country the values and ethos MI stands for.”

Talking about his coaching duties Simon Katich said, “It is an absolute honour to be offered the position of head coach for MI Cape Town. It is always special to put together a new team, hone skills and build a team culture. I look forward to ensuring that MI Cape Town develops into a team that leverages local talent and has MI core values at its heart.”
