MS Dhoni’s Record Shattered In A Women’s Premier League Match Between Delhi Capitals And UP Warriors

The 20th match of the women’s premier league was played between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriors yesterday. In this match, Delhi Capitals won by 5 wickets. A player of Delhi Capitals broke the big record of Chennai Super Kings team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in IPL and registered her name in history. This record was challenging to break, but now this player has done it.

Delhi Capitals’ wicket-keeper batsman Tanya Bhatia broke the record made by both of them in 2011 in yesterday’s match against UP Warriors. In 2011, Dhoni stumped three KKR players in a single match. This was the record for most stumpings in an IPL match.

Tanya Bhatia shattered this record not in IPL but in the Women’s Premier League. Tanya stumped out four batters of UP Warriors. With this, she created history by breaking Dhoni’s record.

No one had been able to break Dhoni’s record of stumping three players in a single IPL match, but it was equalled. Robin Uthappa equalled this record in the year 2017, but he could not break Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record. Now after Dhoni, 25-year-old Tanya Bhatia has made this record in her name. She has a record of 4 stumpings in a match.

In Tuesday’s match between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriors, Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the UP team scored 138 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. In response, the Delhi team scored 142 runs losing 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. With this win, the team reached the top of the points table. And now Delhi Capitals is in the final of the Women’s Premier League.
