MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings is all set for the IPL Auction 2023 in Kochi. Like other franchises, CSK has also marked some players in the hit list whom they want to make part of IPL 2023. One such player is England’s young gun Sam Curran who was part of CSK but did not play in the IPL 2022 showing his unavailability.
According to the news coming out from the CSK, the franchise has already marked Sam Curran as their ‘Most Wanted’ pick and they are seeing Curran as the replacement for Dwayne Bravo.
‘With Bravo not around anymore, Curran should be the team overseas quickly, feels team management and especially Dhoni. He can bowl at the death and also chip in with the bat lower down the order’, said a source close to CSK team management.
Cricinformer wants to inform that after playing for Punjab Kings, Sam Curran was picked by Chennai Super Kings in 2020 for 5.5 crores. Seeing his current form, other teams are also looking to go behind Sam Curran for IPL Auction. He was the player of the tournament in the recently concluded ICC men’s T20 World Cup.
