‘MS Dhoni Is God-Like Figure’, Star Australian All-rounder Awestruck By The Jumbo Fan Following Of Captain Cool

The former Indian captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement from cricket in 2020 only the batter is still serving his IPL team – Chennai Super Kings. The fan following and the wide acceptability of MS Dhoni around the corner are not hidden from anyone. Meanwhile, the young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green who plays for Mumbai Indians has stated that MS Dhoni is a ‘God-like’ figure among cricket fans.

The Mumbai Indians player, who made his debut in the Indian Premier League earlier this year expressed that witnessing the iconic wicketkeeper-batsman take to the crease in Chennai is one of the most majestic views in cricket.

Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday on July 7 and received enthusiastic welcomes each time he stepped onto the field during the IPL. The fans passionately adorned the stadium in yellow which is the color of CSK’s jersey, even when he was playing in away matches.

Cameron Green said, “MS Dhoni is like a God figure, watching him walk out to bat in Chennai is one of the most ridiculous things to witness.”

He further added, “He’s got a really nice demeanor about him. He seems like a lovely guy. It’s pretty cool that I was on the field with him.”

In the IPL 2023, Dhoni was struggling all around the ground due to his knee injury, however, he managed to gather 104 runs in eight matches showing an impressive strike rate of 182.46, which includes 10 sixes as well. Under his captaincy, Chennai Super Kings managed to lift the IPL trophy for the fifth time beating Gujarat Titans in the IPL final.
