KL Rahul Will Play In IPL And 2024 T20 World Cup Or Not? Here Is The Massive Update In Player’s Injury

India’s wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul has reportedly returned from London after seeking advice from leading medical experts regarding his quadriceps injury. Initially playing in the opening game of the ongoing five-match Test series against England, Rahul was subsequently sidelined from the remaining matches due to pain in his quadriceps.

The wicket-keeper batter was expected to make his return from the third Test but wasn’t deemed fully fit despite being named in the squad. He missed the 4th Test too and BCCI announced that the batter will be out from the remaining games as well.

According to a report in Times Of India, the batter will recover from his injuries before the start of the IPL 2024. He will lead Lucknow Super Giants.

KL Rahul is anticipated to receive his fitness certificate from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in the coming days. He is in the running for a spot in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad.

“He (Rahul) had consulted top medical experts in London. He returned to India on Sunday and has checked into the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for rehab. He should get the Return to Play certificate from the NCA soon. He is keen to prove his worth in the IPL as he’s in line for selection in India’s T20 World Cup team as a ‘keeper-bat,” TOI quoted a source as saying.
