KL Rahul Will Play In IPL 2024 Or Not? LSG Management Gives An Update

KL Rahul has been ruled out from the final Test of the ongoing series against England in Dharamsala due to a right quadriceps tendon injury. However, there is positive news for KL Rahul’s fans and his IPL 2024 franchise, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as reports indicate that he is progressing well in his recovery and is expected to be fit in time for the upcoming season.

Currently, the wicket-keeper batter is in London consulting with a specialist regarding the injury that resulted in his being unavailable for the second, third, and fourth Tests after featuring in the series opener at Hyderabad.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), is keeping a close watch on KL Rahul’s recovery journey and maintains an optimistic view regarding his potential involvement in the tournament, scheduled to kick off on March 22nd. As per the IPK schedule, LSG will play their first match on March 24 against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

The BCCI medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru initially informed that KL Rahul might return for the third Test in Rajkot, held between February 15th and 18th. He was included in the squad, pending fitness clearance. However, KL Rahul did not make the journey to Rajkot, notifying the medical team that he lacked complete confidence in the recovery of his quadriceps.
