Bangladesh’s Cricket Team Gears Up For Sri Lanka Series with New Coaches

The Bengal Tigers are all set to host the Lankan Lions in a multi-format bilingual series. The series between the two teams will start with three ODIs, followed by three ODIs, and then a couple of test matches are to be played between the two sides.

However, after the series, Bangladesh Cricket has appointed David Hamp and André Adams as the new batting and bowling coaches.

Well, Hem is not new to Bangladesh cricket; he was the batting coach of the team when they toured New Zealand in 2023.

Hemp has also coached Pakistan’s women’s team and has been in the coaching setup of the Melborne Renegades for five seasons of the women’s Big Bash League.

Hemp has plenty of experience, having played over 271 games and scoring 15520 runs, which included 86 half-century and 30 tons, but was not able to play for England at the international level.

Later on, Hemp went on to represent Burmuda and played 22 ODIs and two t-20 for them.

On the other hand, Adam also has a decent amount of coaching experience, as he has been working as a bowling coach for many teams over the years. He has served as the coach of the men’s and women’s New Zealand cricket teams.

Adam has represented New Zealand in one test (42 one day) and one t 20.
