‘Kishan Should Not Be In Playing XI’, Harbhajan Singh Explains The Reason For KS Bharat Inclusion WTC Final

After the injury of the star Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, team India has moved to the final of the World Test Championship with other options in the name of KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan. Before this mega clash between India and Australia, many cricket experts are giving their opinion on the wicket-keeper choice between Bharat and Kishan.

The former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has expressed that the Indian Cricket Management should play Bharat as the wicketkeeper and stated that India should retain him in the WTC final against Australia. The 42-year-old emphasized that Bharat has been a consistent team member for a specific period, and he should also be backed for this important match.

Talking further, Harbhajan Singh also mentioned that his preference would have been Wriddhiman Saha or KL Rahul but as they are not available, he would go with KS Bharat against Australia.

“No, I don’t think he (Kishan) should be in the starting 11 because KS Bharat has been playing consistently for some time. If it was Wriddhiman Saha, then I would consider playing him because he has more experience and is a better keeper. If KL Rahul was fit, I would have played him instead, at number 5 or 6, because he is a proper opener and he could keep as well,” Harbhajan told Star Sports.
