Kieron Pollard Announces Retirement From IPL, Takes New Role For Mumbai Indians

West Indies All-rounder Kieron Pollard has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League – IPL. As we know Pollard was released by the Mumbai Franchisee before the IPL 2023 and everyone was speculating that the MI all-rounder might play for some other team as well.

Kieron Pollard who started his journey for Mumbai Indians in 2010 will not make his presence for any of the IPL teams now. The all-rounder took to Twitter to announce his retirement where he just mentioned Mumbai Indians and posted a long heartfelt letter. In the post, he also mentioned that he will be there with the team as the batting coach.

Pollard also revealed that he will be working with all the members of MI emirates, the newly made franchise of Mumbai Indians.

Till now Pollard has played 171 innings for Mumbai in which he has scored 3412 runs with a cracking strike rate of 147.32. He has 16 fifties to his name.

Apart from Rohit Sharma, Pollard is one of those players who have been with Mumbai whenever the team has lifted the IPL trophy.
