Jonny Bairstow Replacement Announced, This Destructive Batter Returns After 3 years

The big news is coming from the corridors of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Explosive batsman Alex Hales can be included in the England squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 in place of destructive opener Jonny Bairstow.

As we know Bairstow has been ruled out from the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 due to injury. Hales played the last international match for England before the 2019 World Cup and he will join the team nearly after 3 years.

According to the news of the Daily Mail, Hales had a phone conversation with England’s limited overs team captain Jos Buttler and the team’s management after which his return to the England team was considered to be certain.

Apart from Buttler, England managing director Rob Key was also in favour of recruiting Hales for the mega T20 tournament

Let us inform you that on September 2, England had announced a 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup, which included Jonny Bairstow. But he has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury sustained while playing golf.

England will play their first match against Afghanistan in Perth on 22 October.
