On October 3 BCCI confirmed that Team India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will miss the T20 World Cup 2022 due to a serious back fracture.
The omission of bowlers from the T20 World Cup has not only disturbed the Indian playing XI but fans are also disappointed due to the exclusion of their trump card. Now Jasprit Bumrah has come up with a heartfelt message for his fans in which he has talked about the support he is getting from the people and the Indian Cricket Management. He also said that even if he is not there for the T20 World Cup, the bowler will cheer for his team at a course.
Jasprit Bumrah tweeted, “I am gutted that I won’t be a part of the T20 World Cup this time, but thankful for the wishes, care, and support I’ve received from my loved ones. As I recover, I’ll be cheering on the team through their campaign in Australia.” The news regarding Bumrah’s injury came when the team was there in Kerala for the 1st T20I against South Africa. After this, he was taken to National Cricket Academy (NCA) for medical treatment. There it was reported that the bowler would at least take 5-6 months to recover from his injury.
