Two-time IPL champions KKR have already started their preparation for the upcoming IPL season.
However, ahead of the upcoming IPL season, one of the most expensive IPL players, Mitchell Starc, said, “He is excited for a bit of circus in this IPL.”
Mitchel Starc was brought by KKR for a huge sum of Rs 24.70 crore, becoming the costliest player in the history of the IPL. Mitchell Starc was last seen playing in the IPL way back in 2015 for RCB.
Mitchell Starc was also picked by KKR in the 2018 IPL auction but pulled out of the IPL due to personal reasons that year.
In his recent interaction with Cricket.com.au, Starc said that he is quite excited for the new challenge and is looking forward to playing in the IPL.
Starc said, “It’s been 8 years, I think. Back to KKR, where I was supposed to be in 2018. So I’ll be back there for the chance to pull on the gold and purple. I guess my memories are a few and far between back in 2014 and 2015 with RCB, but yeah, really excited to get stuck in. Obviously, a new group of players. A bunch of guys I certainly haven’t met or been able to work with before.”

Strac further added, “A couple of guys that I’ve played against and come across. Yeah, it’s going to be exciting. It’s definitely a new challenge. But yeah, it’ll be exciting. It’s always a bit of a circus when it’s the best T20 league in the world. So, yeah, I look forward to it.”
KKR will play their first match of the IPL 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 in Eden Gardens.
