The Australian speedster Mitchel Starc, who was picked by KKR at a whopping price of 24.75 crore, has failed to live up to the expectations of his price tag. The pacer has not picked up any wickets in the two matches that his team has played in the tournament.
However, Mitchel Starc received the backing of KKR’s bowling coach, Bharat Arun, who said that it’s just a matter of time for Mitchel Starc to get his form back in the IPL.
Bharat Arun said, “He is probably one of the most experienced bowlers in the world and also somebody who understands the conditions and adapts to them very well. I think you will see a different version of him in the future games.”
On being asked about the conversation that he has with Mitchell Starc, Arun said, “Nothing about the price tag, definitely.
“We have been talking about his strengths. I’m sure he understands what it is and what it takes to succeed. The kind of experience he brings with him having played in all the conditions, it is just a matter of time before you see Starc return in his elements.”
Kolkata Knight riders have so far remained unbeaten in the tournament. The men in purple have won both of their encounters against RCB and SRH.
