“It feels really…”Rohit Sharma’s candid admission after team India reached the finals of the T20 world Cup

Early Friday morning, India won a big game against England by 68 runs in the semi-final of the 2024 T20 World Cup, ending their 10-year wait. This is the first time since 2014 that India will play in the final of this big tournament. The game was affected by rain and the pitch was slow, making it hard to bat first, but the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, did well.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 47 runs and Rohit Sharma made 57, helping India set a high score of 172. England couldn’t keep up and were all out for only 103 runs.

After their victory, Rohit Sharma talked about how they won the semi-final.

“It feels really good to win. We all worked hard together and everyone did a great job. We adjusted well to the tough conditions. That’s what has helped us succeed so far. When our bowlers and batters adjust, everything works out,” Rohit Sharma explained during the post-match interview.

“At one point, a score of 140-150 seemed about right. But then we started scoring more runs in the middle, and SKY and I thought we could add another 20-25 runs. A score of 175 was really good, and the bowlers did an excellent job. Axar and Kuldeep are top-notch spin bowlers. It’s hard to hit shots against them in these conditions. They stayed cool under pressure. We talked after the first innings, and the advice was to keep the stumps in play. That’s exactly what they did. I have a target in mind, but I don’t want to tell the batters what it is. They play based on instinct. I thought 170 was a good score for this pitch.”

India showcased their wealth of talent and showed complete control to reach the T20 World Cup final by beating England by 68 runs in their semi-final match on Thursday.

Rohit Sharma, their motivating captain, once again led the way with a quick 57 runs from 39 balls, setting a strong base. Suryakumar Yadav (47 off 36) also played well, helping India score 171 for seven after they were put to bat first in the match affected by rain.

England could only manage 103 runs before being all out in 16.4 overs. India will now face South Africa, who are in the final for the first time, in Barbados on Saturday. This is India’s third time reaching the final of the tournament.
